Donner Pass: RSC Responds

It is good to see that RSC is listening to their community. I hope they can grow from this experience, because if they do it will make them a more credible, and thus a more strongly supported brand. RSC is fortunate that they are still the leader in this niche market segment, but they need to keep that in perspective. I am reminded of how Toyota was brought back down to earth by a massive recall, because of a problem dealing with their floor mats. It proves that if you don't pay attention to the smaller details (in this case QA) you can land in a world of pain.

Here is the entry for those who wish not to visit Facebook:
Tonight we are releasing the first of a number of patches designed to address the issues raised by our customers about the Donner Pass. While this patch addresses many of the glitches and terrain issues it by no means solves all the issues raised. We will let you all know when the next patch is ready in the near future. We would like to apologise sincerely for any disappointment caused by issues with the Donner Pass. After the patch is released this evening you may need to verify your cache. If you need to know how to do this, please email support@railsimulator.com
